An senior baseball player at Elon University is behind a fundraising campaign to help earthquake victims that has begun to spread across the U.S.

Phoenix catcher Mike Melillo thought of the campaign, called "Pinch Hit for Haiti," which is asking every Division I, II and III baseball player in the country to donate a dollar to help those in Haiti affected by the earthquake.

Donations to Pinch Hit for Haiti go to the Red Cross.
