strong>"American Registry for Joint Replacement"- Do you know
anyone who's had joint replacement surgery? In 2006, more than a
million hip and knee replacement surgeries were performed in the
U.S. A large number number of patients have had to undergo the
procedure a second time. That's why the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons started the American Joint Replacement
Registry. It records the effectiveness of artificial joint devices.
The registry will help doctors more readily identify faulty
products and more accurately predict a positive procedure based on
its success rate. Want to learn more? Click here.
