A woman who works as a freelance dog groomer was charged with animal cruelty for allegedly throwing her roommate's dog across the room and killing it, police said.
Amanda Todd was arrested and jailed under a $1,000 bond. She later posted bond and was released.
Police said Todd and the owner of the dog are roommates and live on Cotswold Terrace.
Police also said there is no information to indicate the dog that was killed attacked Todd.
