WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Nearly 2,000 animals have been found abused, neglected or abandoned in Forsyth County since the beginning of this year, and the county animal shelter along with an animal advocacy group is asking for your help in bringing that number down.

Hundreds of people will come together Friday night for a fundraiser called Paws in the City at the Millennium Center. The event will include live music, silent auctions, raffles, drinks and food, and all proceeds go to help the animals.
