While a fire at the Jamestown Presbyterian Church did not cause structural damage, it wiped out the church's food pantry, stocked with enough food to feed 47 families for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The fire started during heavy rain around 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. Investigators say too much water seeped into the walls and started an electrical fire.

The church is hoping to replenish the pantry with the help of the community, and they will hold a food drive Saturday, Nov. 14 from noon until 4 p.m.

The church is accepting any non-perishable items and believes it can replenish its pantry in time for the holidays.
