GALAX, Va.—
A hospital security guard was stabbed by an unknown male during a security check of a maintenance shed at Twin County Regional Hospital on Wednesday night, police said.Police were called to the hospital at 9:30 p.m. after the female guard reported she had been attacked. The guard told police the attacker was a young, white male approximately 6 feet tall.
A canine unit attempted to track the suspect without success and the police tactical response team searched the hospital while officers from other local law enforcement agencies secured the area.
