WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
More than 500 jugglers from as far away as Japan are in town to show off, teach and compare skills at the 62nd annual International Juggling Association Festival, held all week at the Benton Convention Center.
This year is the second time the jugglers have chosen Winston-Salem for the festival. They say the city is just right for the conference.
"The city is the perfect size for us. The climate is great, the facility here is just superb. We really could not -- if we had to build a location -- have found a better venue for our festival," said Mike Sullivan the festival director.
Everything from amateurs to world champions are a part of this year's festival, which has several shows open to the public. Jugglers toss everything from bowling pins to balls and just about anything else that can be thrown around.
