Lung cancer is the most deadly type of cancer, but it's the least funded for research into cures.

Runners and supporters can help change that at the second annual Free to Breathe Lung Cancer 5k on Saturday, Nov. 14, off Grandover Parkway.

The 5k kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Event parking is off Weybridge Ln. and participants can begin registering at 7:30 a.m.

Those wishing to run in the competitive 5k can register for $30, and $25 will register runners for a recreational 5k and one-mile run.
