BURLINGTON, N.C.—
Police are seeking a man who, they say, tried to rob a McDonald's employee in the parking lot, then followed him into the restaurant and demanded money.Employee Russel Bolton told officers a man armed with a handgun approached him the rear parking lot of the McDonald's at 3446 S. Church St. and demanded money late Monday night.
Bolton said the suspect then followed him into the restaurant and placed a "monster type" mask on his head. The suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money again, but ran out of the restaurant before getting any money, police said.
He was last seen running toward St. Mark's Church Rd. A police K-9 unit was unable to track the suspect.
Police described the suspect as a black male in his late 20s to mid-30s, clean shaven with a bald head. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood.
