Randolph County Man Arrested for Online Child Sex Solicitation
A Randolph County man was arrested Saturday on charges of soliciting a child by computer for unlawful sex.

The alleged victim's parents called Randolph County Sheriff's detectives when their underage child reportedly started receiving inappropriate messages over the internet.

The parents reportedly agreed to have detectives assume the child's identity online. Detectives posing as the child said they were solicited by 34-year-old Terry Richard Warren II.

Warren was arrested and is being held in the Randolph County Jail in Asheboro under a $10,000 secured bond.

Investigators said they later searched Warren's home and seized two computers and other electronic items. They did not comment on the content found on the devices.

Detectives were working as part of the Piedmont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
