REIDSVILLE, N.C. -
Rockingham County Sheriff's are looking for a group of serial robbers suspected of at least seven store robberies throughout Rockingham County.
Three armed men wearing ski masks and dark blue jumpsuits last robbed Stadler's Convenience Store in Reidsville Wednesday morning. They held the store clerk at gunpoint and took $250.
Store owner Herb Holmes said it's the third time in 18 years that his store has been robbed.
"We don't want these things to happen but we know they will." Holmes said.
Holmes store is the most recent in a string of robberies. Three men held up the B&S Country Store on Pickrell Road in Reidsville Monday night. Authorities believe the robberies may be connected.
Sheriff Sam Page says that robberies are more common this time of year.
"Noramally around late October and November we start to see an increase in robberies, particularly from our convenience stores." Page said.
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Department did stop an attempted robbery at the Red Rooster Convenience Store Wednesday night. A police chase ensued, but the suspects fled on foot.
Police were able to get enough evidence from the car left behind. The vehicle is registered to Shavon Flippin of Reidsville. Police believe her car was also used to rob the B&S Country Store on Monday, Nov. 16.
Flippin is charged with accessory to armed robbery.
