Wake Forest business students rolled up their sleeves on Saturday and helped plant a garden at the Children's Home on Reynolda Road.

The group planted crops and harvested vegetables.

The goal of the project was to emphasize the importance of community service.

"We're training future business leaders of America, and we want to make sure the sustainability and community service and charity work are part of the experience of Wake Forest and that they can take that with them into their jobs," said Andrew Verga, a student at Wake Forest University.

The Wake Forest University School of Business has been doing special projects and volunteering in the community for nearly 20 years.
