A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man from Mebane, according to the State Center for Missing Persons.
Alvis McCauley went to Hickory Grove Church in Chapel Hill on Thursday night and has not been heard from since. McCauley is 84-years-old.
Police said McCauley is 5'3", 180 pounds with brown eyes and short gray hair. Authorities say he should be wearing glasses and is missing the last joint on the middle finger of his right hand.
McCauley lives on Paylor Street in Mebane.
He was last seen driving a black Ford F-150 with license plate WTZ-8897.
