WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) -
A man was arrested and charged with robbing a Winston-Salem convenience store on Thursday, police said.
Police said around 5:48 p.m., William Rhodes entered the Circle K convenience store on University Parkway and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect was not armed.
The suspect fled in an older model, small red or burgundy vehicle, police said.
Rhodes was located at the Crossland Studios where he was taken into custody. He is being held in the Forsyth County Jail on charges of common law robbery and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $7,500.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the Winston Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 727-2800.
