Several Students Taken to Hospital After School Bus, Utility Truck Collide

JAMESTOWN, N.C.—
Several students were injured Monday morning when their school bus was involved in a collision with a City of High Point utility truck, according to a spokesperson for Guilford County Schools.

There were 41 students on the bus, No. 986, which was heading to Southern Middle School. The spokesperson said nine people were being taken to the hospital.

The state trooper who investigated the accident said the truck's side mirror swiped the stop sign on the bus. No charges will be filed, and the trooper said there was less than $200 of damage to the bus.

The accident happened near the intersection of Kivett Dr. and Vickery Chapel Rd. in Jamestown.
