CASWELL COUNTY, N.C. -
Authorities charged a Caswell County man with shooting two juveniles late Saturday afternoon.
According to the Caswell County Sheriff's office, John Clyde Fuqua, 52, fired a gun and hit two juveniles near Brown Rd. in Leasburg, where he lives. A third juvenile was present but not physically injured., the sheriff's office said.
The two juveniles who were hit were treated on the scene by emergency medical personnel for non-life-threatening injuries, then taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
Fuqua was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
The sheriff's office said the shootings took place shortly before 5 p.m. and were reported to 911 by two different callers. The sheriff's office, highway patrol, EMS and the Leasburg volunteer fire department all responded to the area.
Authorities said the case remains under investigation.
