The Dash's first game in the new downtown baseball stadium will be played April 13, 2010, about a year later than originally announced.Construction on the stadium came to a halt earlier this year after the team's owner, Billy Prim, lost funding.
Work started again in September after Prim, the city and investors reached a financing agreement for the stadium. Part of the agreement includes the city owning the nearly $50 million stadium, but leasing it to Prim.
The team was originally scheduled to open the 2009 season in the new stadium, but delays forced the Dash to play the entire season in its old ballpark, Ernie Shore Field, which had been sold to Wake Forest University.
