Over 1,800 Get H1N1 Vaccine at GTCC Clinic
GREENSBORO, N.C. - A total of 1,831 doses of the H1N1 vaccine were given out Saturday at a clinic at Guilford Technical Community College hosted by the Guilford County health department.

Although the clinic was originally intended for youth and other high-risk groups, the health department opened up vaccinations to all 5 CDC priority groups: pregnant women; children ages 6 months to 24 years of age; health care workers and emergency medical services personnel; adults ages 25-64 with underlying health conditions; and household contacts and caregivers of children 6 months of age and younger.

The clinic was held in the Medlin Center at GTCC at 601 High Point Road in Jamestown. The Department of Public Health had nearly 6,000 doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine to administer.

The vaccine was given to these individuals on a first-come, first-served basis.
