GREENSBORO, N.C. -
Two people were injured in an accident that closed four out of five lanes eastbound I-40 on Tuesday.
The accident happened between Gallimore Dairy Rd. and the Urban loop interchange late Tuesday. Traffic was backed up for a couple of hours while crews worked to clear the wreck.
Two drivers, Chester Harrison of Reidsville and Larry Lawson of Browns Summit, were transported to Moses Cone Hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision is currently under investigation by the Greensboro Police Department Traffic Safety/Crash Reconstruction Unit.
