GREENSBORO, N.C.—
UPDATE: All of the 36 Jack Russell Terriers have been adopted.Three dozen Jack Russell terriers that belonged to a couple in Pinetown, N.C., are now in Greensboro and in need of homes.
The couple's declining health forced them to give up the dogs, so they were picked up and taken to Dog Days off Battleground Ave.
"I can't stress enough, we have to find 36 homes for these Jack Russells by the end of business on Thursday," explained Robin Manley, a volunteer helping to care for the dogs. "After that, they actually will be coming to my house, and I haven't told my husband that yet."
