GREENSBORO N.C. -
The driver of a minivan had to be extricated from the vehicle after colliding with an SUV in downtown Greensboro on Monday morning, police said.
The force of the collision pushed the van onto its side and pinned it against a pole at the intersection of East Market and Davie streets around 11 a.m.
The intersection was closed briefly while crews investigated and cleaned up the debris.
No one was seriously injured in the wreck. Police said they plan to charge the driver of the SUV with failing to stop at a red light.
