A church in Jamestown suffered minor damage in an early morning fire.
The fire started around 8 a.m. at Jamestown Presbyterian on Guilford College Road. The fire was contained to a small air conditioning system, but a nearby food pantry was damaged.
The Pinecroft Fire Chief said the fire started due to an electrical problem and was not related to the weather.
"Our biggest concern right now is that our food pantry was located near the fire. We've had some food damage, and we have 45 families expecting food baskets for Thanksgiving," said Pastor Bob Sharman.
