THOMASVILLE, N.C. - "It is my honor and my privilege to present to you today Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Mohney." The pronouncement from Pastor Tim Miller late this afternoon ended a whirlwind of activity that began earlier this week.

Danielle Starr and Anthony have been together for five years, so it hasn't exactly been a whirlwind romance. The excitement and flurry of activity began when he proposed a few days ago.

Anthony proposed on Tuesday after doctors told him the testicular cancer he thought he'd beaten had returned. To make matters worse, doctors said he had days, possibly weeks to live.

His first thought was to his sweetheart.

"He called me on Tuesday morning this past week and said 'so when are we going to start planning our wedding?'" Danielle said.

After four days of intense planning and family, friends and a community behind them, everything got pulled together in time for the ceremony.

"They're already united in a spiritual sense, not just today but forever," said Miller. "That's already happened. So to me that's more exciting than actually the wedding."

Because Anthony stays strong while he fights cancer and Danielle remains supportive by his side, Miller said this is a more exciting celebration of their new life together with a renewed commitment.
