It's something bosses may not want to hear. Cyber Monday is here. It's a day when most people return to the office after the Thanksgiving holiday and continue their holiday shopping online.
Nearly nine out of 10 retailers are having Cyber Monday specials on their websites.
One site -- CyberMonday.com -- has more than 700 retailers to choose from.
"This Cyber Monday should be up from last year," says computer expert Gary Alfred with Snow Peak Technologies, which works closely with retailers throughout the Rocky Mountain area to enhance their web presence.
Alfred credits the expected increase to an improving economy and the ease of shopping multiple stores without driving all over town.
And he says since it's easier to compare prices, businesses have to be competitive.
"They will have to have discounts. Otherwise, I don't think they'll draw the people they want to draw to their sites," he says.
