GREENSBORO N.C. (WGHP) -
A Greensboro man was arrested after carrying a gun to a protest outside an abortion clinic, according to the Greensboro News & Record.
According to the paper, James Ronald Penn Junior joined several other protesters outside the Piedmont Carolina Medical Clinic on Randleman Road a few weeks ago.
Officers on the scene asked Penn for a permit but he refused so he was arrested.
Officers say in the mid-1990's, a law was passed that banned weapons from demonstrators at abortion clinics.
According to the paper, the suspect is of high interest to the FBI because he is associated with violent demonstrators at abortion clinics.
