A teenager hit by another car while changing a flat tire last month was released from the hospital in time to graduate.

The Southeast Guilford High School Senior was hit while changing his tire along US 29 in Greensboro on May 2.

Williams got a flat tire on a bridge that runs over Martin Luther King Drive near US 29 on Saturday when according to police, a car slammed into his vehicle, pinning him against the guard rail.

For the past month, Williams has been recovering from his injuries and is now focused on graduation this Sunday.

Williams' told FOX8's Angela Rodriguez he plans on getting out of his wheelchair and using crutches to walk across the stage at graduation.

Despite what Williams' has gone through over the past month, he plans on becoming a mechanic after he graduates.
