Greensboro-based Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. plans to build an outlet shopping mall just off Interstate 40/85 in Alamance County by late 2010, the company announced Tuesday.
The shopping center will be situated on Arrowhead Boulevard at Exit 154. The company recently closed on the purchase of a 52-acre parcel where the mall will be located.
The 317,000-square-foot center will house approximately 80 stores, including outlets from Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Coach, Gap, J. Crew, Nike and Tommy Hilfiger, Tanger said in a news release.
The Tanger Outlet Center of the Piedmont will be Tanger's third outlet mall in North Carolina. The others are located in Nags Head and in Blowing Rock.
