WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
Local retailers are getting ready for the stampedes and uncontrollable lines of Black Friday.
At the Target on Hanes Mall Blvd. in Winston-Salem, employees say Black Friday is always a challenge. Team Leader Jelena Caraman said that they expect between 400 and 500 shoppers when doors open at 5 a.m.
"We just want to make sure people are not running over each other and that people are not cutting through here." Caraman said.
At Caraman's Target location, shoppers will be directed in the front door and around the store, to electronics, toys and games. Shoppers will not be able to pass the check out lanes until it's time to leave.
Once there, Caraman says supervisors will help direct customers to open lanes.
The store has been planning security for a month, and all of the store's 120 employees will work on Friday, as the store expects more than $500,000 in sales that day.
